I have two totally random and unrelated guesses...
One is a melon - cuz that little circle in the bottom center looks like the place the melon comes off the vine...but then it doesn't seem nubby enough...
I really don't know, but the first thought that came to me was the inside of an eye! It reminds me of some posters at my optician's.... Look forward to the solution of the mystery! xx

Two is fabric...of some gorgeous sort.
