I think they're California transplants. I don't drive in the snow... not because I'm not capable (My car is great in the snow), but because I'm scared of THEM! 50 mph on packed snow?! Seriously?!nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17724032310038265404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3863037454625522723.post-48518091772037541492010-01-08T09:42:17.640-05:002010-01-08T09:42:17.640-05:00totally agree with it all, but would add one - don...totally agree with it all, but would add one - don't slow down so much that you can't make it up the hill and start sliding backwards! I can't believe how many drivers around here go TOO slow to make progress. And I've been in the unfortunate position of being behind someone who didn't follow rule #1 and having the entire mound of snow on their roof sliding off onto the road right in front of me. I love it.

I also have to agree with you about clearing your car off. Not sure if it is in Ohio, but it is a law here in PA, your car must be clear of all snow and ice. They inforce it too, I have seen quite a number of cars (partially covered) pulled over. They might have been speeding, but since everyone here speeds, I think it was the snow that got them the ticket.

Drive safe...not recklessly! :)Christina H.http://christinaherum.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3863037454625522723.post-38381595480079293492010-01-07T23:48:43.720-05:002010-01-07T23:48:43.720-05:00Having grown up & lived a large portion of my ...Having grown up & lived a large portion of my life in snow covered places for many months out of the year, I have to say, fantastic rant!!

Living somewhere now that doesn't experience snow very often, I can't tell you how much I wish they would at least read something like this as they truly have NO clue! and make it dangerous for those who do know how to handle driving in it.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07697786974067180993noreply@blogger.com
